Saturday cleaning, chili, and ice cream

Yesterday we stayed home and did some playing and cleaning.  Eric trimmed and mowed the grass while I picked up around the house, did some laundry, polished and dusted the furniture, and cleaned the floors.  We got our new Direct TV box, so Eric connected that.  I'm glad we didn't have to wait until Tuesday to have TV back!  Avery kept busy playing with her toys and books.  She was crawling all over the place.  I really have to watch her now.  She always wants to go straight to the outlets in the wall or the any wire she can find. 

I worked some in Avery's baby book while she took a nap.  I have all of her months up to date.  I need to order her 9 month sticker picture and a picture from July 4th to hang on the bulletin boards.  I always order pictures from Shutterfly.  They are cheap and quick to deliver. 

Eric had to work last night.  Emily came over to have dinner with me and to hang out for a bit.  I made some chili in the crock pot and rice to serve it over.  It came out really good and I didn't follow any recipe!  We topped our rice and chili with crunched up tortilla chips and cheese. 

Emily brought over some delicious Amy's ice cream.  She brought dark chocolate and sweet cream.  They are so good!  We ate ice cream and watched some reality TV while we talked.
