Eric and I decided not to go anyplace on Friday. It was raining out and Avery was being super cranky. She hasn't been in a very great mood since we got here. Our plan backfired and she took really short naps and didn't feel refreshed all day. She had a 30 minute spurt late afternoon that she was in a good mood. Her new favorite toy is the container to her treats! She likes to roll it and grab it and shake it! We've been putting it far out in front of her to see if she will try to crawl and get it. She is getting there but not quite!
Avery can push up really far on her arms... she just needs to get those knees up in the back! I wish she would be this fun and cheerful most of the day. I'm still so mad she got so sick last week because she is STILL not back to normal.
On Friday evening we had some visitors stop by! About an our before everyone arrived, I had to start walking around with Avery in the Ergo carrier. She was ready for bed but I really wanted one of my best friends and her family to at least meet Avery for a few minutes before she went down. The Ergo worked like a charm! Avery was super content and calm in it and it was a great way for her to meet new people. Jennifer, one of my best friends that I have known for 26 years came over with her significant other James. Jennifer's parents also came over. It was so great to visit with everyone!
Avery got some nice presents, including these stylish Tinkerbell sunglasses!
We all enjoyed some great chicken and pasta in vodka sauce for dinner followed by double chocolate brownies for dessert. Everyone was stuffed and satisfied after dinner! After dinner we spent the evening talking until about 9:30pm. It was a great evening!
As soon as everyone left, Eric and I crashed. It had been a long day. Hope everyone enjoyed their Friday!
